Java Programming Language

Java

Shortly after doing Java in college, I picked up this book called "Java2 Game Programming". The language was very similar to C++ except there were some minor differences. I found myself really liking Java the more I used it. As time went on, there were more advanced versions. Now Java has a lot of classes and methods so you can string together a program rather quickly. Java 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6... The Java API is advancing rather quickly. My professor used to joke and say that there are now no more bad C++ programmers, they all went to Java!

UPDATE: I just finished reading this Java2 Game Programming book and did a number permutation program for the Lotto. It runs from C:\myjava and uses numbers.txt file. You pick a template like 1 10 20 30 40 for a single (1-9), tens (10 - 19), 20s (20-29), 30s (30 - 39), and a 40 (40-43) for CASH 5. You can view the source below.

Here are some images from running the program:
I used this numbers.txt file.

I got these results in the results.txt file:

When I get more time, i'll try to post a quick overall tutorial and review of the Java Language!
